Scott J. Petersen

Scott Petersen is a seasoned financial executive, entrepreneur, and business builder with more than 35 years of experience spanning financial services, capital markets, operations, finance, consulting, and growth-stage companies.

Most recently, Scott served as Chief Financial Officer of Acadia, a leading provider of risk management and post-trade infrastructure solutions serving many of the world's largest financial institutions. During his 14 year tenure, Scott worked as part of the Executive Team that guided the company through a period of significant growth, strategic expansion, capital raising activities, and corporate development initiatives that culminated in Acadia's acquisition by London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) in 2023. Scott served as a key executive on the company’s Executive, Audit, Risk and Compensation Committees of the Board. Following the acquisition, Scott continued to support the business through its integration into LSEG's Post Trade Solutions division.

Prior to Acadia, Scott served as Chief Financial Officer and senior finance executive for multiple growth-stage and venture-backed companies across technology, telecommunications, and financial services sectors. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions in banking, capital markets, finance, operations, management consulting, and public accounting, earning his CPA and developing deep expertise in corporate finance, strategic planning, operational scaling, and business transformation.

At Helios Foundry Partners, Scott is the founding Managing Member. He is responsible for building out the executive team, corporate strategy, capital formation, business development, financial planning, investor relations, and the evaluation and incubation of new business opportunities. He brings extensive experience in scaling businesses, including international expansion, structuring strategic partnerships, raising capital, and guiding organizations through periods of growth and transformation.
